Welcome Our New Middle School Vice Principal, Nathan Simpson 

Trinity Christian Academy has a new face joining the halls this year, and we couldn't be more excited about it. Please join us in welcoming Nathan Simpson as our new Middle School Vice Principal. With years of leadership under his belt and a genuine love for students, he's already feeling like a great fit for the TCA family.

Answering the Call to Education

Simpson grew up in southern Indiana, and his road to education wasn't exactly a straight line. Before God led him into Christian education, he spent time as a police officer and later worked as a youth minister.

"I've always had teaching in me," Simpson shares. "The transition from ministry to education felt natural because I was still investing in students' lives and helping them grow in their faith."

Simpson comes to Trinity after serving as a middle school principal in Charlotte, North Carolina, so he knows firsthand just how much middle schoolers are navigating at this age.

"Middle school is such a formative time," he says. "I want students to discover who they are through a biblical worldview and know their identity is found in Christ. This is a season to grow, learn from mistakes, and experience grace.”

Showing Up for Students

You'll likely spot Simpson greeting students in the hallways, cheering them on at sporting events and fine arts performances, or just making time to talk. He believes in building real relationships, knowing students grow best when they feel truly seen and valued. That same Christ-centered mission is actually what drew him to TCA in the first place.

"We're here to help students build a relationship with Christ while educating them," he says. "I love being part of that journey."

Simpson and his wife of nearly 22 years, who is also a principal, recently moved to Florida to be closer to two of their three adult children — with a little sunshine and beach access as a nice bonus. He's already taking full advantage, enjoying regular beach walks and even picking up surfing.

Looking Ahead to the New School Year

As the new school year gets closer, Simpson can't wait to get to know the families and staff who make Trinity such a special place.

"I'm excited to learn the culture, meet the people, and become part of the Trinity family," he says. "I can't wait for the hallways to be full again and to see how I can serve alongside this incredible team."
