VPK: A FREE Learning Program For 4-Year-Olds, Regardless of Family Income

"My girls absolutely loved the VPK program and learned so much! Everywhere we go, we tell people how great the Preschool program is at Trinity." – Shelly

The Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program (VPK) prepares your early learner for success in kindergarten and beyond. Florida, one of the first states to offer free VPK to all 4-year-olds, is committed to building a strong foundation for your child. Trinity Christian Academy (TCA) is happy to share its carefully curated VPK program that allows your child to experience superior early classroom learning in a happy, secure, and enriching Christian environment.

As the largest VPK program in Duval County, outside of Duval County Public Schools, TCA VPK students and their parents/caregivers can expect:

  • A Caring Staff: TCA is committed to providing quality education in a safe, happy setting. All teachers are trained, certified, and background screened.
  • Character Training: Students will participate in daily Bible lessons, weekly preschool chapel every Friday morning, and monthly character quality trainings.
  • Safety: All building entrances require key card entry, security cameras are positioned inside building common areas and exteriors, there is 24-hour campus security personnel, and students have a dedicated medical professional on campus during school hours.
  • Fun: Engaging enrichment activities designed to enhance student creativity, build social and language skills, motor skills, cognitive skills, critical thinking, collaboration, independence, and a genuine love for learning. Examples of activities include art, music, literacy, and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math). Students can also gain mastery of the Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards by practicing skills daily on tablets and Clear Touch panels.

Furthermore, to bridge targeted learning with fun, students will build on lessons with special dress up days such as Book Character Day, Community Helper Day, Fall Fun Day, Gingerbread Day, Winter Fun Day, and Farm Fun Day. TCA also welcomes parents and caregivers to engage in family-centered events such as Donuts with Dad, Muffins with Mom, Preschool Chapel, Boohoo/Yahoo Breakfast, Grandparents Day (held every other school year), various class parties, and the VPK graduation ceremony.

TCA is committed to empowering your child, as it does with all its students, to discover and live-out their God-given purpose. For TCA, this starts with early development, a fundamental stepping stone to help your child grow intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually. Decide today to provide your child with the faith-based developmentally appropriate education they need to succeed. Give your child the head start they deserve; consider enrolling them in TCA’s free VPK program.

"TCA's VPK program is far superior to other VPK programs. Not all VPKs are created equal." –Rebecca Couch, TCA Parent and Former Duval County School Board Member
