Trinity Christian Academy Baseball Team’s Memorable Trip to the Dominican Republic with Score International

Over Christmas break, Trinity Christian Academy's baseball team went on an unforgettable three-day trip to the Dominican Republic with Score International. This trip was a perfect mix of baseball, service, and sharing their faith in a relaxed and meaningful way.
Morning Baseball Camps and Sharing Faith
Each morning, the team ran baseball camps for local kids. It wasn’t just about teaching baseball basics like pitching and batting—it was also about building friendships and having fun. After some practice, the players would sit down with the kids and share the gospel, talking about Christ and the hope He brings. These conversations often led to deep, heartwarming talks about faith that left a lasting impact on everyone involved.
Afternoon Food Distribution
In the afternoons, the team switched gears to help families in need by distributing food. This wasn’t just about handing out supplies—it was about connecting with people, listening to their stories, and offering support. The players and coaches shared words of encouragement and prayers, creating a real sense of community and hope.
Life-Changing Moments
The trip reached its peak on the last day when three of our players decided to get baptized. It was a powerful moment for everyone, marking a new chapter in their faith journey. The baptism took place in a beautiful outdoor setting, surrounded by teammates, making it a truly memorable and emotional experience.
The Team and Coaches
Nine players and four coaches made up the team, each playing a vital role in the trip's success. The coaches provided guidance and support, not just on the field but also in the players' spiritual growth, ensuring that the trip was impactful in every sense.
A Trip to Remember
This trip was much more than a mission—it was an inspiring example of how sports and faith can come together to create real change. The partnership with Score International allowed the Trinity Christian Academy baseball team to grow spiritually while making a difference in the lives of those they served.
We’re so proud of our players and coaches for their hard work and dedication. Their journey shows the incredible impact that can happen when we use our talents to serve others and share our faith. We celebrate their accomplishments and the many hearts touched by their time in the Dominican Republic. This trip stands as a shining example of what can happen when sports, faith, and compassion unite.
