The English Department faculty at Trinity Christian Academy is excited to present the 2019 Summer Reading Program. We believe that students benefit from continual educational development and that includes reaping the benefits of actively reading and engaging with during the summer months.
Each student requesting Honors English is required to read two books from the list of his/her grade level (the grade they will be entering in the Fall).
- 7th Grade Reading List
- 8th Grade Reading List
- 9th Grade Reading List
- 10th Grade Reading List
- 11th Grade Reading List
All students should receive a reading log, which is required to be completed by the first day of school. Students enrolled in Honors English classes who fail to complete the summer reading assignment will be transferred to a standard English class.
Students may not read abridged versions of the books on the lists (with the exception of the Count of Monte Cristo – 10th grade list).
Note that books are to be read in their entirety. Listening to an audio book, watching a film adaptation (if applicable), will not count as credit towards the Summer reading assignment.
