Dear TCA Families,
The TCA campus will be closed for the week of Thanksgiving, now extended to November 23-27, 2020. Students will move to asynchronous learning through Google Classroom for Monday and Tuesday. All assignments will be provided for students to work on anytime during the week of Thanksgiving, and will be due upon return on Monday, November 30. These assignments will allow Monday and Tuesday to count as school days and therefore, will not have to be made up at a later date.
For your student’s activities/assignments follow the link provided below:
We have extended the regular break in order to provide adequate time for our cleaning and maintenance crew to complete additional deep cleaning in every classroom, including a more extensive disinfecting process. A full week for Thanksgiving will also be part of the 2021 calendar.
Over the past two weeks we have seen an increase in COVID cases unlike any other time since the beginning of the pandemic. Most of our recent cases would have been prevented with basic adherence to our stated protocols and policies. It is paramount that we pay close attention to our school guidelines in order to keep our campus open and prevent the spread of infectious viruses.
Please do not send students to school:
1. If your child exhibits any of the following symptoms as per the CDC:
- New loss of taste or smell
- Fever or chills
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Muscle or body aches
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
2. If anyone in your household has been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
3. If anyone in your household has been tested for COVID-19 and is awaiting results.
If your child or anyone in your household falls into one or more of the above categories, please keep your child home from school and contact the school clinic for further guidance:
Phone: (904)596-2518; Text: (904)496-2517; Email: email@example.com.
Your ongoing cooperation is an encouragement to our efforts. We share the frustration of this ongoing pandemic and we are doing our part to mitigate the spread of this virus.
We are thankful for the fact that we have remained open to serve our families with safe, in-school instruction. We wish you and your family a blessed, healthy, and memorable Thanksgiving week.
For the health and well-being of the TCA community,
