Alumni Spotlight: Tiara Griffin (Class of 2016)

Meet Tiara Griffin, a proud 2016 graduate of Trinity Christian Academy. Tiara has continued to shine both professionally and personally, living out the values instilled in her during her years at TCA.

After graduating, Tiara earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Sports and Fitness Studies. Today, she is thriving in Jacksonville, FL, where she wears many hats in both education and entrepreneurship.

Tiara continues to pour into the next generation through her work with the Boys & Girls Club, where she teaches Health & Wellness with a focus on confidence, self-esteem, and bully prevention. She is also the program director for Pearls of Perfection, a mentoring program in partnership with the City of Jacksonville. Pearls helps young girls grow in confidence, discover their voices, and learn to lead with purpose. For younger girls in grades K–2, Tiara founded a sister program called Tiny Treasures, designed to prepare them for Pearls and begin building that foundation of confidence early.

Alongside her passion for mentoring, Tiara is the entrepreneur behind E V LUX Candle Company, which recently celebrated its highest-selling year. E V LUX has grown beyond candles into a space for coaching and self-care, helping women overcome burnout and create sustainable routines that allow them to thrive.

“My heart is to help women overcome burnout and build sustainable self care routines so they can thrive. That’s really where my passion has been lately.”

When reflecting on her journey, Tiara says she is most proud of the impact her business and mentoring have made:

“God has placed me in a position through E V LUX to travel, connect, and inspire other women to care for themselves. I know that my purpose here is to encourage and showcase the talents instilled in me, so I am very grateful to do so. While also encouraging the beautiful ladies navigating this beautiful life after me.”

Tiara has deep roots at Trinity, having started at TCA in 1st grade. She recalls the lifelong influence of teachers who poured into her, equipping her with practical skills like communication, financial literacy, and organization, as well as modeling the importance of a strong spiritual foundation. Those connections remain strong today, as she still keeps in touch with many of her teachers.

When asked about her favorite TCA memories, Tiara shared two moments that stand out most:

  • Cheering for her brother Lynn “LJ” Griffin Jr. during his basketball games, alongside teachers who joined in with handmade shirts and signs.
  • The kindness of Mr. Josh Evans, who, during a challenging season for her family, went above and beyond to care for her and her brother—creating memories filled with fun, encouragement, and “McDonald Fridays” that she cherishes to this day.

Tiara credits TCA with having a direct impact on her walk with God:

“Yes, I believe that my spiritual foundation is at this capacity due to the lessons Trinity instills in each student.”

For families considering Trinity, Tiara’s words are clear and heartfelt:

“When you attend Trinity, you immediately are granted access to a family environment. Trinity is one of the best schools simply due to the passionate culture for education and spiritual growth.”

TCA is blessed to call Tiara one of our alumni, and we are proud to see the incredible ways she is serving God and others through her calling as both a mentor and entrepreneur.
