Alumni Spotlight: Jared Furey, Class of 1998
Building a Legacy—One Relationship at a Time
Meet Jared Furey, a proud 1998 graduate of Trinity Christian Academy who has taken the values and work ethic instilled in him at TCA straight into the heart of the Jacksonville business community.
After high school, Jared chose a path less traveled—foregoing college to dive directly into the family business. Today, he lives in Jacksonville, Florida, where he continues to grow that family-owned and operated enterprise, Furey Business Systems, which provides comprehensive solutions for all your business communication needs. Between business and family life, Jared occasionally sneaks in a round of golf when time allows.
When asked what he’s most proud of, Jared points to the success and sustainability of his family business:
“We are proud of our family-owned and operated small business,”
he shares.
“It’s more than just work—it’s our legacy.”
Jared credits Trinity with preparing him not only academically but also relationally.
“Trinity prepared me well academically but more importantly, taught me how to relate to people,”
he says. His favorite memory from his time at TCA? The lifelong friendships that were formed during those formative years.
More than just academics and friendships, Jared says Trinity had a significant impact on his relationship with God.
“At TCA we were consistent about improving our relationship with the Lord—taking time daily to be thankful and communicating with Him. That kind of consistency made a lasting difference.”
Trinity Christian Academy has been a family tradition for the Fureys. Jared’s siblings are also proud TCA alumni: Christina Furey (‘95), Andrea Furey (‘01), who was crowned Homecoming Queen, Zachary Furey (‘03), and Steve Furey (‘06), who was honored as Mr. TCA.
For those considering TCA for their children, Jared has this to say:
“I would encourage them based on my positive experiences there. My educators were wonderful people who took the time to make sure we understood what we were learning—not just for the sake of passing a test, but to help us be successful in life after high school.”
Jared Furey is a shining example of how a strong foundation—grounded in faith, community, and commitment—can lead to a fulfilling and impactful life.
